I never was a milk person. Unless I was eating cake, cereal, or some type of pastry, cold water is still my preference.
I can remember, as a kid growing up in Pennsylvania, we'd go to the dairy and get milk that came right from the cow. Had to shake it up cause it had cream on top. Nowadays in most states, you're not allowed to sell milk like that. I suppose that by some measure, the FDA figures the pros outweigh the cons of forcing pasteurization and homogenization before milk can be consumed. And let's not forget that it's become an industry of its own. Still it's hard to not see how pasteurization and homogenization are not benefiting consumers. Factor in the bad things they add to milk, and it's really a no-brainer.
